Datamaster Recertification
This is a three hour
TELECLASS COURSE designed to refresh the BAC Datamaster
Operator on procedural and legal matters applicable to the
proper operation of the BAC Datamaster Instrument.
Because of the
technicality of the subject matter, and required test, this
teleclass must be viewed live. Taping the program to be
shown at a future date is prohibited.
Who should attend
Currently certified operators
whose date of expiration has not yet passed. Note:
SLED's policies and procedures state that once an
operator's certification expires, they MUST attend the
initial certification course in order to be certified again.
You must carefully monitor your certification to avoid
expiration.
Proficiency
Participants MUST attend the
entire time of the Teleclass and take a ten question test.
To be recertified, each participant must obtain a score of
70% on the previously mentioned test.
RADAR Operator
Recertification
This is a three hour
TELECLASS COURSE designed to provide the officer with a
review of the basic principles of RADAR and its
application. The course will also provide pertinent updates
of laws or court decisions affecting the operation of Police
Traffic RADAR in our state.
Because of the
technicality of the subject matter, and required test, this
teleclass must be viewed live. Taping the program to be
shown at a future date is prohibited.
Who should attend
The student must be a
certified police officer whose RADAR Operator certification
HAS NOT EXPIRED.
Proficiency
Officers must obtain a
minimum score of 70% on a final examination given at the end
of the three hour teleclass course. There is no longer any
requirement for a road proficiency during recertification.
Teleclasses
Teleclasses are
self-contained, one time presentations of not more than
three hours duration dealing with the review and update of
one specific subject or topic. Formerly known as CORE
courses, teleclasses are no longer
mandatory training for Law Enforcement Officers. |
