Criminal Justice Information on the Internet The Internet is a global computer network. For the researcher, it is a dynamic ever-evolving research tool. The Internet is much like a global library. Materials are accessed via networked entities such as government agencies, research foundations, educational institutions, professional organizations, companies, and individuals. Your research will be met with online resources in formats such as indexes, abstracts, books, articles, illustrations, maps, charts, video clips, and sound recordings. In retrieving research results, be aware not all information you find on the web can be evaluated as true, accurate, and current.
